TWB Interpreter Connect policy

TWB Interpreter Connect services are limited to a software platform, made available to interpreters and non-profit organizations, which allows both parties to contact each other with aim to cover their professional needs. The platform also provides them with free resources and training tools.

The duration of registration will be at discretion of the user, who can cancel their account at any point.

Users under the age of 18 are forbidden to register on TWB Interpreter Connect. TWB Interpreter Connect has no responsibility if minors register and it is the sole responsibility of their guardians to monitor such actions.

The service offered to the user through these general terms and conditions is free. In the case of paid services which may be introduced in the future for users of the platform, these shall be governed by their own specific terms and conditions which will determine the length and nature of services offered.


User registration on the platform does not guarantee employment.

TWB Interpreter Connect does not intervene in contract procedures or other commitments of any other nature which may arise between both parties.

Likewise, TWB Interpreter Connect reserves the right to terminate the service for interpreters and non-profit organizations upon misbehaviour or fraud, without need to justify or provide clarifications regarding the reasons towards the user.

Updates to TWB Interpreter Connect

TWB Interpreter Connect can make changes and updates to the platform to add new features and services. Such changes and updates will always be focused on improving the user’s experience within the platform.

What Information is Collected?

TWB Interpreter Connects’ primary goal in collecting personal information is to provide users of the platform with the best and most useful content and services. Several of the services and features offered on the platform, require users to provide information as a condition of usage. These include access to subscriptions to e-mail newsletters, use of the platform CV database and job search functionality.

TWB Interpreter Connect collects personally identifiable information, such as your name, e-mail address, postal address, and phone number when you provide it to us. We may also collect other information such as your job title, gender, username and password.  We maintain reasonable physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your information and while no data transmission over the Internet is completely secure, we have used and will continue to use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the protection of your personally identifiable information

The information provided by interpreters and non-profit organizations will be treated by Translators without Borders (TWB) and TWB Interpreter Connect for the sole purpose of processing the user registration on the platform and to manage the data to allow the platform services to work. Because the data will be accessible by registered non-profit organizations, we recommend that interpreters do not provide confidential and sensitive data.

TWB does not update the information or verify the accuracy of the information provided by non-profit organizations.  TWB also does not in any way recommend or promote the non-profit organization.  TWB Interpreter Connect is not responsible for the legitimacy of the organization or of the information its representatives provides. It is the interpreter’s responsibility to ensure that the of both the non-profit organization and the position.

Sharing of User Information

We are an independent company, registered in accordance with Massachusetts state law. No outside company, organization or group shall be given access to specific personal user information, whether the user is a specific organization or a particular individual. We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Generalized and aggregated information encompassing all of our subscribers and consultants, such as how many sessions the website experiences every day, may be distributed to outside parties for purposes of marketing, sales or strategic development.

Personal Profiles

We provide you with the option of posting your personal profile including your skills, experience, contact information, employment history, references, and CV on our website. We use our best efforts to ensure that only employers, recruiters, hiring managers, headhunters, and human resource professionals access these directories, but cannot guarantee that other parties will not, without our consent, gain access to their contents.  You may remove and/or deactivate your profile from our searchable directories at any time. However, employers and recruiters and other parties who have gained access to the directory, may have retained a copy of your profile in their own files or databases. We are not responsible or liable for the retention, use, or privacy of resumes in these instances, or for the use or privacy of resumes by any of such parties while profiles are in the directory.

Updating Personal Profile Information

We allow you to change, correct or remove from public view your personal profile at any time. To do so, simply log into your account, go to your account profile, and select the options for editing the information you have submitted.

Security Policy

We seek to use reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect Personal Information within our organization.  Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.  If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of your account has been compromised), please immediately notify us in accordance with the “Contact Us” section below.

We also limit access to the website by our own employees to those individuals who are authorized for the proper handling of such information and any employee found violating our standards of security and confidentiality will be subject to our disciplinary processes.

How we Handle Privacy Policy Changes

TWB is committed to ensuring the most secure and private operating environment for all users of TWB Interpreter Connect.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time.  Please take a look at the “Last Updated” legend at the top of this page to see when this Privacy Policy was last revised.  If we decide to change this Privacy Policy, we will post any amendments or revisions here so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and how we protect you and your privacy.
